Compare two Excel or CSV files online

What you can do
Line up rows in any order
Pair rows by key columns such as ID, by position, or by identical content, and fix any pairing by hand.
See differences at a glance
Changed cells and rows found on only one side are color-coded; click a count to show just those rows.
Stay oriented with many columns
Show only the columns that differ, put matching columns side by side, or open row details to compare one row column by column.
Edit and sync
Edit cells and copy a value, a row or the whole sheet to the other side. Every step can be undone.
Export a new file
Export to .xlsx or .csv with the encoding and delimiter you need. Your original file is not changed.
Files stay on your computer
Nothing is uploaded or stored, and everything is gone when you close the page, so it is safe for sensitive data.

Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files are read and compared only in your browser; our servers never receive their contents or even their names.
How large can the files be?
Up to 50,000 rows, 200 columns and 2,000,000 cells per side, and 30 MB per file. Near those limits, a computer with 16 GB of memory is recommended.
Non-English characters look garbled in Excel. What can I do?
When the encoding cannot be detected, you are asked to choose one and see a preview. When exporting a CSV for Excel, choose “UTF-8 with BOM”.
Are formulas and formatting kept?
Comparison and export use cell values: formulas are exported as their last calculated results, and formatting, merged cells and other sheets are not kept. Your original file is never changed.
